Jonty is a partner in our non-contentious department. His main area of expertise is property, whether it be landlord and tenant or commercial acquisition and disposal. In addition, Jonty has worked on a number of wind farm development agreements on behalf of landowners.
Being a native of Cumbria provides Jonty with extra insight into local legal matters, enabling him to provide pragmatic assistance in relation to local transactional work.
After his law degree, Jonty worked for the Rural Payments Agency (formerly the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) for two years, before returning to law. Following the completion of his training contract, Jonty joined Bendles in February 2005, becoming a partner in May 2011.
With an interest in the local community, Jonty is a trustee of the local Age Concern, a governor at James Rennie School, as well as a volunteer for the local Talking Newspaper.
