Property Solicitor

This is an exciting opportunity to join our property team  who will support you in building your own caseload as soon as possible. Your presence will strengthen an already experienced team. You will have both residential and/or commercial property experience where you will be expected to run a mixed workload. Commercial property matters range from acquisition and disposal of land and buildings through to Landlord and Tenant lease transactions such as granting new leases, assignments and renewals, along with;

  • Advising on the purchase and sale of freehold and leasehold property;
  • Acting for Landlord or Tenant on the grant of a new lease;
  • Acting for Landlord or Tenant on an assignment of lease;
  • Acting for Landlord or Tenant on lease renewals;
  • Assisting with setting up lease schemes on development projects;
  • Assisting with overage and land options agreements;

Ideally candidates will have 3-6 years PQE. However, applications will be considered from newly qualified solicitors if they have undertaken a seat within commercial /residential  property.

You will be expected to participate in the firm’s business development, including seminars, events and contribute to marketing initiatives.

Corporate/Litigation/Employment Solicitor

This is a unique multi-discipline position and we welcome candidates with experience in all or some of the areas of law.

You will be responsible for:

  • Drafting and negotiating SPA and APAs
  • Employment tribunal claims including advocacy;
  • General corporate work including shareholder agreements and commercial contracts.
  • Property litigation including boundary disputes, evictions and landlord/tenant disputes.
  • General employment claims including advice and settlement agreements.

Ideally candidates will have 3-6 years PQE. However, applications will be considered from newly qualified solicitors if they have undertaken a seat within corporate, litigation or employment law.

You will be expected to participate in the firm’s business development, including seminars, events and contribute to marketing initiatives.

Receptionist/Legal Secretary

Full-time position

Wigton, Cumbria

You will provide comprehensive support for the team and undertake a busy and varied workload. Predominantly based in reception but there will be a requirement to provide secretarial support when needed. Duties to include:

  • Answering the phone and redirecting them as appropriate;
  • Take and relay accurate messages;
  • Meet and greet visitors to the office;
  • Diary and File management;
  • Audio typing;
  • Document production; and
  • General office administration,

Experience in working in the legal sector is an advantage but not essential. You will provide excellent customer service and project a positive and friendly image. You will have a keen eye for detail, and be able to demonstrate from previous experience your ability to work accurately at pace and become part of a busy team.

Salary dependent upon experience.
