Charity Wills leave £382,000 in legacies

National Free Wills Network

Over the last year, Bendles are delighted to have helped prepare wills which will raise £382,000 of future income for various charities through their work with the National Free Wills Network.

The National Free Wills Network is a charity that works alongside solicitors to provide wills for supporters of other charities. The National Free Wills Network aims to increase the percentage of the population with a will and also promotes donations being made to charities within wills.

There are currently 178 member charities who are part of the scheme, ranging from household names to those with a strong regional or local focus.  Some of the charities in the Network include The British Heart Foundation, National Trust, Oxfam, Lifeboats, Royal British Legion and the WWF.

Having an up-to-date will prepared by a solicitor is the best way to ensure that your future wishes will be carried out. A will is also the perfect way to leave something to help a charity continue their vital work for generations to come, though there is no obligation to do so.
