BENDLES SOLICITORS ACQUIRES BLEASDALE SOLICITORS

Bendles Solicitors, which has offices in Carlisle and Wigton, is to acquire Bleasdales Solicitors, whose office is based in Whitehaven.

Bendles is a long established firm which also own the estate agency Tiffens Estate Agents.  Bleasdales has been in the Whitehaven area for around 100 years.

The acquisition is seen by both firms as being complimentary, as they are in different legal markets but have very similar expertise and cover similar areas of law such as property, private client, matrimonial and childcare.

Jonty Hanlon of Bendles said “We are delighted with this acquisition, as it continues our ambition to expand.  Bleasdales and ourselves cover similar areas of law, which will deepen the expertise in the business.  It also allows us to expand into a different market area, which we feel will be beneficial for our collective client base.

Pam Thomas, Director at Bleasdale & Co Solicitors Limited said “We are delighted to be partnering with Bendles Solicitors.  We think this will strengthen the offering to our clients in the West Cumbria area and help deliver an even better service. The fact that we cover similar areas of law will strengthen the advice and support that we can give to our clients”.

Bleasdales were advised by legal sector specialist accountants Armstrong Watson and lawyers Bennett Briegal.

Bendles acted in house, with the assistance of Saint & Co accountants.
